Boots are an investment. You want to be able to wear them until they fall apart. I bought a pair of 50/50 Stuart Weitzman boots about 6 years ago-way before they were in style. They fell apart last winter so I am now looking for a replacement. I want a basic black boot that I can wear with skinny pants or a dress or skirt. There are many options that do and do not fit my profile, so lets looks at the options. These are a few and more to follow in other blogs.
$598.00 Marc Jacobs These boots are just what I want but they do not have a zipper which may be a problem because of my high instep.
$695.00 Loefller Randall Loefler Randall has made this boot for a few years now and it sells. No zipper so that may be a drawback, but it has a fashionable low heel.
$750.00 Stuart Weitzman These are high on my list. I personally will go for Chloe or Prada over Stuart Weitzman, but these have a true 'high end designer' look. The squarish toe, low heel and the beautiful simplicity make this a fabulous boot. Wear it with a skinny jean, skirt or a dress and you are going to look right on! The price is high but this has value compared Prada or Chloe at a higher price.
$550.00 Belle by Sigerson Morrison This is dark grey and a fabulous everyday casual boot. A favorite!
$795.00 Sigerson Morrison I really like this look but it is not as classic so maybe not as versatile. I would wear this with jeans and a dress.
$590.00 Frye This is more pricey than the usual Frye boot. I guess their prices have risen. It's a beautiful boot, one you can wear with anything!
